I have a HP ENVY TS M6-K022DX    that all the sudden when I pressed the power switch to turn it off as it froze

it will power back on or does the power light show was working great

I see a motherboard for this os over 100.00 but I did see one that is from a HP ENVY TOUCHSMART M6-K025DX i5 MOTHERBOARD 732775-500 would that interchange into mine ?

Thank you

Below is the link to the parts list for your notebook:

HP PartSurfer

The motherboard part number and description is:

725462-501
MOTHERBOARD UMA A76M A10-5745M W8STD

The HP PartSurfer database has no record of a 732775-500 part number/

Below is the link to the parts list for the M6-K025DX:

HP PartSurfer

The motherboard part number and description is:

732775-501
MOTHERBOARD UMA I5-4200U W8STD

I think you should stick with finding the AMD motherboard with the onboard graphics because different top cover components are needed for the notebooks with Intel and AMD processors and you would need a different hear sink also.

The list of AMD motherboard part numbers are listed in chapter 3 of the service manual.

There is only two and the difference is one comes with a Windows product key in the BIOS and one does not.

I suggest that you thoroughly review the parts list in chapter 3 to see if any other parts would be needed to make the exchange if you want to use an Intel motherboard in the PC.

I saw one on a site called innacle Laptop Parts. for 54.00 which is Refurbished but have not heard of them before or eBay has a used one from a Recycling place for 80.00 but again unknown to me as he says he has his setting

So hard to find low cost ones anymore like it used to be since prices raise

funny the laptop was working fine when I hard to do a hard shut down and now no power light no battery light no power and I tried two different power adapters

Hi, Todd:

Have you looked into buying a used but tested and working M6-K022DX on eBay?

You can get one with a working motherboard minus a few parts for $71.20 delivered.

HP ENVY M6-k022dx Sleekbook 15" Laptop AMD A10- 5745M -BOOTS TO BIOS-MZ | eBay

Worst case scenario is you can take the motherboard out of that one and put it in yours.
