I purchased HP ENVY x360 13 inch, in sept 2022, approx in January of 2024, right hinge was slightly off while laptop was closed, still working fine, today when I was closing the laptop the hinge just popped out of display, cracking it, since my warranty expired in sept2023, I still called HP and visited their service centre, where they told my estimated repair price of ₹45,000/- or 500-600$ , I called help support staff, and they told me, "You should have come to us earlier when your product was in Warranty" Seriously this is the way manufacturing defects are handled, Thousands of people have already posted over whole internet about the hinge breaking out of body and damaging display, multiple CLASS ACTION LAW SUITS have been filed. HP should atleast have a plan running for hinge and display replacement. So Disappointed, Will never buy HP again and won't let anyone I know.
