HP ENVY LAPTOP Hinge fault
Within my 12-month warranty, my laptop hinges began to crunch and misalign. I spoke to someone on the HP help chat. The representative was NOT very helpful. He was rude and implied I could not operate a phone camera as I said it was difficult to open and close the laptop while videoing this. (I needed 2 hands to open the laptop to prevent further damage). He told me the warranty did not cover the fault as it was a cosmetic problem, even though I struggled to open and close my laptop. Just as the warranty expired my screen failed due to something inside the laptop being pinched by the misaligned hinges. I extended my warranty with Currys at a cost of almost £100. Currys replaced the screen and the hinges appeared to be okay. Currys did not offer me an option to renew my warranty and just as it expired my laptop hinges have broken again. Due to the number of similar posts, I can only assume that this is a well-known fault in your design. Do HP think their laptops are only designed to operate for 12 months? Is this a good selling point?

Not a helpful response - the site redirects me to a page which tells me my warranty has expired.
In what way does this answer my query regarding the known fault your laptops have?
Do you expect me to pay AGAIN for a common design/manufacturing fault in your product?
