Hello,

My HP Envy laptop left hinge has broken and the left corner is slightly damaged. The top left-hand corner of the keypad is starting to bulge. The laptop was not dropped. I always keep it securely in my laptop bag. The warranty is expired on this laptop as it was purchased December 2020. Please help.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Andy,

Please can I ask some advice.

A memeber of the HP sales team called me today to say my laptop repair will cost £314. Only the one hunge on my laptop is damaged and there is no other damage. I have not had any accidents or caused this issue. I can see that this is a common fault with the hp laptops. why is it costing me this much for the repair when it is only a hinge repair? I am a student and am not able to afford such a huge amount. I have been waiting a week now for a response from hp regarding the repair and i called up toda as I had no response. I was quoted such a large amount and no other further help. Hugely disappointed with the service I have received.

Are you able to offer me any advice on this please?

Kind regards,

Liyana Tibin
