HP ENVY X360 15T-BP000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys

I have a HP Envy x360 15t-BPOOO.   Yesterday I noticed that the right hinge on my laptop has become loose and the bottom part of the screen becomes dislodged from the casing when I try and open/close it. I take very good care of this laptop and have never dropped it or anything. This happened completely out of the blue.

The laptop/screen are working fine but after some research it seems like this is a known manufacturing defect in the HP Envy models and there have been hundreds of posts about it. Examples below:

The laptop is less than 2 years old and is unfortunately out of warrantee. Really don't want it to get to a point where the entire screen unattaches from the casing. What options do I have to get this fixed?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
