Product: HP ENVY x360 - 15m-cn0012dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is it possible to upgrade the RAM on this PC? Right now it has 12GB (4/8 split)... but I cannot seem to find a) if its possible to swap out one of them for a larger one... and b) what the maximum supported RAM is.

 

I've tried this: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-15m-cn0000-x360-convertible-pc/20270297/model/21837078/...

But the service guide mentioned in this article doesnt cover the memory specs. And the specs page for this PC, - https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-15m-cn0000-x360-convertible-pc/20270297/model/21837078/... - tells me the standard memory, but makes no mention of the maximum... does this imply that the total memory cannot be expanded?

Manual for the series says

 

Supports DDR4 1.2-V 2666 and 2400 memory in the following configurations:
   ● 16-GB (8-GB × 2)
   ● 12-GB (8-GB + 4-GB)
   ● 8-GB (8-GB × 1 or 4-GB × 2)

 

That simply means the series has 3 options for pre installed RAM. You can replace 4GB with SAME 8GB on other slot to make a  total of 16GB or you can replace BOTH slots with 16GB each to have total 32GB using
