HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15-ed1000 (169W7AV)

I went to open my laptop last night (have not dropped or had any damage prior) and the hinge on the left side got stuck. If I try to open it any further it will fully break. There are already tiny pieces of plastic that have broken off. The hinge is completely popped out and cannot be pushed back together. From what I'm read on multiple different sites, this is a common issue with the HP Envy that HP refuses to address and is unacceptable. I tried using the Virtual assistant chat feature to get in contact with someone at HP and it only gets me in contact with a (useless) AI chat. I can't even speak to a real person. HELP!
