I purchased the j5 create USB Docking Station to use with my laptop in the 3.0 USB slot. I have downloaded the driver from the j5 website because I don't have a CD player on this laptop. Nothing I tried worked. I then read on a forum online that these laptops don't have powerful enough USB slots to handle an external USB port (which, IMO, makes this laptop a waste of money, but I'm about a month past warranty so it doesn't matter now). I'm not sure of the credibility of that statement though, so does anyone know if there is a USB docking station that my laptop can handle? It is preferable to not waste $100 more on a station directly from HP if I don't absolutely have to. Thanks in advance.

There are many USB 3.x docks around including the ones which support 2 or more external monitors.  Please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few options on market today including some HP products:
