HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15m-ed1023dx - misaligned hinge

I just noticed the left hinge is misaligned and I expect it will break soon. It was not dropped no harsh treatment at all and never use full range of the hinges. I use this laptop only once in a while since I use my business laptop.

A $1,000+ laptop should not have this problem. Research on-line shows there are so many people having the same issue. Obviously this is a known issue, this is a design flaw. I am really upset because my warranty has expired! 

This is my second HP laptop with a hinge problem. First laptop was inexpensive so I decided to upgrade to the ENVY X360.

I was sure I was buying quality and reliability.

Please let know what steps to take to get this resolved.
