Hello,
I would like to make my computer operate faster and was thinking about adding more RAM to it. However, I have not been able to find the maximum amount of RAM that my computer can take. It has an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 x64 bit processor, a 1TB HDD, and currently has 4GB of RAM already installed. I want to upgrade this to 12GB or even 16GB, and I was wondering if this is possible? If someone could answer this question, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance for your help.

The stated max memory is 16 gigs. It has 4 gigs soldered to the motherboard and then one open memory slot. Its a bit hard to access.
See p. 1 and then also pp. 30-37. The pictures show 2 slots but on your model there is one. Note removal of the memory shield on p. 36.
If you install a single 16 gig module it overrides the onboard so you have 16. If you install an 8 gig module you have 12 total and if you install a 4 gig module you have 8 total.
Uses DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM like this:
