Hi im planning to buy HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ee0016au. I have a few questions if the community be kind to help me out on this:
1. Does this model come with the provision for a secondary hdd? My current laptop HP Envy 15-bq101tu has a 1TB secondary HDD which i want to install to new laptop.
2. Is there any way i could transfer all my software applications from my current 128GB SSD installed HP Envy 15-bq101tu, to the new laptop 15-ee0016au boot drive which is 512GB SSD?
Thanks.

Hi:
The 15-ee0016au only has one M.2 slot that supports a M.2 NVMe SSD.
There are no provisions to add a 2.5" drive or a second M.2 SSD.
Below is the link to the service manual.
Unfortunately, I do not believe it would be possible to transfer your software applications to the new PC.
If there is, I wouldn't know how it can be done.

Hi Paul_Tikkanen
Many thanks for your reply. It was very helpful. I have just one more question, i know i sound obtuse, but if i want to rather upgrade the existing nvme on the laptop which is 512gb to 2tb, would any m2 nvme ssd will fit in or does it need to be of specific make and model?
Thank you in advance.

Wow! Thanks Paul.
In the manual you linked, under the table 1-1, Expansion slot, it says - One next generation form factor (NGFF) slot for a solid-state drive.
Does this mean i can install a secondary ssd storage?
Many thanks again for your help.

You're very welcome.
I am impressed with this model series.
It is my first notebook with an AMD processor.
Very well built and responsive.
Mine has the 512 GB NVMe SSD and 16 GB of memory.
I have no plans on upgrading it because it runs fine as it is.
The only thing I did to it was to upgrade from W10 Home to W10 Pro and then I upgraded the notebook to W11.
I am currently running the latest version of W11 (22H2).

Yes it indeed it. The only issue that i face with Envy x360 series is the hinges. I also have an envy x360 15-bq1xx which just after an year of use, the hinges on the top (screen side) cover gave away.
For the storage, i needed a secondary because being a graphics designer i have a lot of raw images and artwork for storage, not to mention movies and tv series.
Hey Paul, I'd appreciate if you could recommend me an envy x360 that has secondary drive (or an expansion for additional storage drive) with a dedicated gpu. Below USD 1.5k.
Thanks a lot for your help,

Unfortunately, I don't know of any that have dual NVMe SSD's.
There is this model that has two NVMe SSD's, but it is not an x360, and is within your price range.
This is the Victus 16-d1 model series.
