Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have an issue where the webcam that once worked, is now stuck in 'off mode'. The shutter key is lit up orange, and it doesn't change when pressed, with or without the fn keys. The device is now gone in Device Manager. I can't find any evidence of this camera ever being on my operating system, even though it most certainly has. I can't find drivers on my products support page, and all the forum posts here I have tried with no luck. I have tried the action key BIOS setting change, I have reinstalled the Windows Camera software, I have tried to install drivers, the right ones, the wrong ones, I have physically inspected the key for damage, inside the computer as well. I even resorted to using the HP cloud restore to factory without saving data, and it still is not seen here at all. I tried Windows 10, 11 and both with and woithout the big feature updates. It 100% definitely worked, and well, then al of a sudden after some reboot one day it didn't.
