Hi ,
I had recently bought new Laptop , From the Day 1 . Its battery getting drained off so quickly . Can you Please help / guide any settings or issues I missing .

Here are a few steps you can take to improve the battery life of your HP ENVY x360 14 Inch 2-In-1 Laptop:
1. Check for Updates:
- Ensure your Windows OS and all drivers (especially the battery driver) are up to date.
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
2. Adjust Power and Sleep Settings:
- Open Settings > System > Power & sleep.
- Under Screen, select a shorter time for turning off the screen when the device is on battery power.
- Under Sleep, select a shorter time for the laptop to go to sleep when on battery power.
3. Use Power Saver Mode:
- Click the battery icon on the taskbar.
- Drag the slider to Battery Saver.
4. Battery Usage by Apps:
- Open Settings > System > Battery.
- Click See which apps are affecting your battery life.
- Review the list and consider closing or uninstalling apps that use a lot of battery.
5. Background Apps:
- Open Settings > Privacy > Background apps.
- Turn off the toggle switch for apps you don't need running in the background.
6. Brightness Settings:
- Lower your screen brightness.
- Use the Brightness slider in the Action Center (Windows key + A).
7. Turn Off WiFi/Bluetooth When Not in Use:
- Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth if you are not using them.
8. Unplug External Devices:
- Disconnect peripherals (like external hard drives) when not in use.
9. Run Power Troubleshooter:
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Run the Power troubleshooter.
10. Check for Battery Health:
- Open a Command Prompt as an administrator.
- Type powercfg /batteryreport and press Enter.
- Locate and open the battery report to see the battery's health status and usage.
