Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP ENVY x360 model # 15m-bq121dx. I am wanting to upgrade the stock version I have by adding a m.2 ssd to run along side my current 1tb hdd and bump the ram up to 16gb versus the 8gb (4x2gb) I have now. My question is, has anyone exceeded to 256gb m.2 ssd and 16gb of ram that the maintenance and service guide suggest are the max capacities. Thanks in andvance for any help.

1 RAM: both manual and Crucial say 16GB is the max for the series. You can use

      https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/envy-x360-15m-bq121dx/CT11971740

2. M.2 SSD: from the manual, the series had following pre-built options

For use only on computer models with model numbers 15m-bq1xx and 15-bq1xx:

  • 1-TB, 2280 M.2, PCIe3×4, SS, NVMe with TLC part # 908359-003
  • 512-GB, 2280 M.2, PCIe3×4, SS, NVMe with TLC part # 847110-015
  • 360-GB, 2280 M.2, PCIe3×4, SS, NVMe with TLC part # 917818-002
  • 256-GB, 2280 M.2, PCIe3×4, SS, NVMe with TLC part # 847109-018
  • 256-GB, 2280 M.2, SATA-3, with TLC part # 759848-028
  • 128-GB, 2280 M.2, SATA-3 part # 827560-038

And you can add one of the following drives for your machine with existing 1TB HDD.
