HP Elite Dragonfly Notebook PC

I have a Dragonfly laptop that I purchased in 2020 and would like to updgrade the SSD drive - I am very happy with the laptop performance and think it looks as good as any of the current laptops, so I don't feel that I need a new laptop, just more space.

I have the half TB SSD but am constantly clearing out files - is it possible to upgrade the SSD drive for a bigger one?

I ask because I have seen mixed reports as to whether this is physically possible in this type of laptop?

Thank you.

What is the generation of your machine ?  From the following information you can see it has MANY options for storage

              https://partsurfer.hp.com/?searchtext=8MK86EA

Therefore you can use 1TB or 2TB of M.2 NVMe drive (vendors now has 4TB drives but I don't know how god, bad or ugly they are). You can use any standard drives such as

970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD

@banhien this looks good - my laptop generation info is as follows:

  • Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz 1.99 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
    Product ID 00330-52792-58081-AAOEM
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Do you think this means the recommended options in your previous reply are still appropriate?

Thanks again.
