Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out for help with a frustrating issue I'm facing with my HP Elite x2 1012 G2 tablet. It suddenly started freezing, and after a forced shutdown, I managed to power it back on, but only for about 3-4 hours before the problems returned. Initially, I suspected it was a Windows issue, so I reset the operating system, updated all drivers, and even upgraded the BIOS—yet the instability remains.

The fan spins at an unusually high speed whenever the tablet freezes, which adds to my concern. I’ve opened the device and attempted to clean the fan, but unfortunately, that didn’t resolve anything. At times, the tablet works just fine, but then it suddenly freezes again, making it unreliable. A particularly troubling aspect of this issue is when the tablet goes into hibernation; it often fails to wake up, regardless of whether I press the keyboard, mouse, or power button.

I would greatly appreciate any insights or solutions you might have, as this ongoing problem is making it increasingly difficult to use my device effectively.

Thank you!
