See p. 61. The parts list shows a 2260 M.2 SSD available as either SATA or PCIe (which we now call NVME). I believe the 2242 slot is only for wifi or WLAN

Thanks for the clarification. I think I can put a 2242 ssd in the 2260 slot. There is a hole for attaching a shorter bar. 2260 is not common nowadays.

Yes there are likely adapter plates that will let you screw it down. The 2242 WWAN slot may also work with a storage drive. Manufacturers don't always mention that in a Manual. Its hit or misss.
