First: download and try to install Bios update F.63, it will fail - do not worry.:smileymad:
Second: check what type of the ROM family and ROM date do you have, press F10 on the notebook during startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view File/System Information. You should see: 68SCF or 68SCE, check twice and write this down on paper.
Third: boot laptop back to Windows
- go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206 and rename 68SCF or 68SCE to ROM (only one file, if you are not sure go to step: Second)
- go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206\hpqflash and rename 68SCF or 68SCE to ROM (only one file, if you are not sure go to step: Second)
Finally:
go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206 and right click on HPQFlash and run as Administrator
or
go to C:\SWSetup\SP76206\hpqflash and right click on HPQFlash and run as Administrator
Sit and watch, do not touch your laptop to the moment you see Windows login.
