At first, it was the spacebar that not working - pressing the key it did nothing. Then I noticed 'v' key not working. Now I found more keys stopped working, such as tab/F2.
Is it likely hardware issue?
It was more than 3 years and out of warranty.
Steve.

There is a keyboard test in the UEFI diagnostics. Tap esc as you power up then F2. This tests the keyboard outside of Windows which lets us distinguish software problems from hardware. If the keyboard fails the UEFI test then yes it needs replacement and this is not a minor task.

Thanks for replying. I don't see keyboard test in UEFI. It only lists Memory Test, Hard Drive Check, and Language.
Also at Startup Menu page, F2 key doesn't work. Seems a hardware failure.
Where can I find HP repair service? I am in Australia. Thank you.

HP has a Service Center locator on this website but the dropdown menu does not include Australia as a choice for search.
