Hey guys,
I'm trying to help a local Non-Profit with some free PC support. A bunch of laptops that were functional at the end of the school year are being setup for classes this semester. We had a few with issues we were able to resolve or at least band-aid for now, but this one... I'm stumped.
HP EliteBook x360 830 G6 Notebook PC, No Post/No Power.
- I've tried two different chargers, both HP specific, one with the stick and one with USB-C. No Post/No Power.
- Left it "charging" overnight... No Post/No Power.
- Tried the disconnect all external devices, hold down the power button for 20 seconds, try again. No Post/No Power.
- Cracked the case open
- nothing obviously disconnected
- no swelling around the battery
- no discoloration around the battery or cable paths
Short of turning it into a parts donor for other devices, does anyone have any ideas what else I can do to triage or repair?
