EliteOne 800 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All

Hoping someone out there can give me some advice on installing a graphics card in my recently purchased EliteOne 800 G1 AiO PC, which will allow me to play some games on it. I'm not into playing really graphics intense games, but the one's I do play I experience some lag, and I can't help but think installing a graphics card would help this. I have tried tweaking Intel graphics options but with no luck.

All I need to know is whether it is possible to install a graphics card in this PC, where I can source a suitable MXM type graphics card and heatsink, and whether it is easy enough to install? I've heard installing graphics cards on PC's running Windows 10 can be troublesome, and I did try it on my old ProOne 600 G1 but every time I tried to install one all I got was a black screen, not even the bios would show up.

I'd be very grateful for any thoughts / views on this topic. Many thanks.

@bigshorty40

Machine already has  MXM 3.0  AMD Radeon HD 7650A graphics card.

Changing MXM video card could be very hard, except for some workstation (note book) models. And where to buy is another problem because they don't sell or normal computer shops.

The above card ahould ne enough for you to play some games.

Regards.

I appreciate the reply and info Banhien.

My EliteOne didn't come with the AMD 7650A graphics card, from what I have researched and believe it was an option. I'm currently having to rely on Intel integrated graphics, which even on some non graphics intense games can lag now and again.

I can source a heatsink for the graphics card, plus the card itself, although a bit risky as I can only find them on ebay, which in my experience with buying graphics cards through them can be a bit of lottery. My issue would be actually getting it to work. As I said I previously had an ProOne 600 G1 that would accept MXM graphics cards, but when I tried to install one all I got was a black screen when I switched the AiO on, not even bios options were visible.
