Product: Elitebook 840 G3
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

 

I have an Elitebook 840 G3 whose keyboard backlight function is not working. The Keyboard Backlight Function Key is present (F3) which means the functionality should be present (I have also confirmed from the manual). All the other Fn keys are working, so am wondering why the backlight is not switching on.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

The series has few options for keyboard. Does your machine have backlit keyboard switch (f4 or f5) 

with backlit symbol ? If yes, please try

Thanks @BH for the reply. In the case of my machine, the backlight icon is on F3. However, pressing F3 does not switch on/off the backlight. Curiously, all the other function keys are working well though.
