Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Elitebook 840 G6 and I purchased a third party docking station to run multiple displays.

The docking station I purchased is the Tripplite USB-C Dock. Part # U442-DOCK12-S (https://tripplite.eaton.com/usb-c-docking-station-4k-hdmi-thunderbolt-3-pd-vga~U442DOCK12S)

The displays do not work when plugged in. I have checked the BIOS to see if Thunderbolt was enabled (it was) and I have also tried to change power settings on the port. I have also tried downloading and updating various thunderbolt/usb c drivers from the HP website.

I know for sure that the docking station works because I am able to connect it to my phone and display it on an external monitor. I also know for sure that the Thunderbolt port works on the notebook because I have connected it to a HP G6 docking station to test.

Any ideas?

I don't know that "Docking" station but I know the following dock is compatible with your machine

              HP USB-C Dock G5
