Product: HP EliteBook 845 G8 Notebook PC IDS Base Model

The screen 4K output is ok, but keeping on disconnect and reconnect.

Meanwhile, the power charge is also stopping and starting again and again(the monitor provide power charge to laptop).

I had upgrade BIOS(including usb-c controller firmware) to latest version.

Update chipset and display drivers to latest version.

 

The monitor model is LG 27MD5KL which has only one thunderbolt 3 input interface.

The thunderbolt 3 input interface supports 4k resolution via USB-C.

The monitor has embedded usb hub, which provide internal microphone, speaker and camera and 3 usb-c output interface.

 

I had tested the monitor with Dell laptop and Apple Macbook, there is no issue.

Seems it is compatibility issue.

Could anyone provide me instruction on how to capture logs to investigate the root cause?
