Hp Elitebook 8460p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Are there any keyboards that are backlit that i may be able to swap into my HP Elitebook 8460p? not having a backlit keyboard is killing me and i am going for a fully decked out laptop.

Good question. An actual backlit keyboard has to be made by the laptop maker because the design has to be coordinated with the motherboard to provide a place to draw power for the backlight. So, while 3rd party vendors make keyboards for all laptop models they cannot make a backlit keyboard for a laptop not designed to drive a backlit keyboard.

There are tons of little stick on and hang on lights that actually illuminate the keyboard pretty well, usually powered from a usb port or maybe a small coin battery...they work well on an airplane at night for example but are external and are something you have to carry around with you.
