Hi all, we have a number of HP Elitebook g7-g9 laptops, I'm having a problem with the new firmware update which is being pushed from windows update.

 

We use the laptops with Bitlocker and a bitlocker start-up PIN - when the firmware update applies it suspends bitlocker to allow the upgrade however the bitlocker PIN seems to stop the upgrade from completing.  This then leaves the firmware in device manager with an error against it, in some cases there had then been issues with other onboard devices such as 4/5G and Wi-Fi 

 

To correct this I've had to disable the startup pin and re apply the firmware update manually, this then allows the restart and the various phases complete without issue. 

 

Is there anything I can do about this as I don't really want to have to remove the start-up pin on all of our devices?
