I tried connecting the laptop and dock mentioned in the subject via Thunderbolt (USB-C). This is the very short 40 Gbps cable that came with the dock and that I was using successfully with a Dell laptop before.
The laptop goes into an infinite boot loop when the dock is connected.
Is there a BIOS update for this combination ?
It looks like the Elitebook G5 have updates for this dock. Do the G6 also ?

What is the version of your HP Elitebook G6 ? I don't know Kensington SD5200T dock but the HP 840 G6 machines are compatible with HP USB-C docks.
Regards.

Yes, I know what the specs say on this dock. I used it with a Dell laptop successfully in the past.
It also worked with fine the G6 until I rebooted the machine. Then the laptop went into the infinite boot loop.
