Hello there,

My work laptop has completely gone dead. There is no response at all when trying the power button. No led turns on for charging and I have tried three different chargers in total. This happened overnight when the laptop was left on.

I have tried opening up the laptop, remove the battery and attempting to wake it up by just using the charger or the laptop by itself but neither worked. Even if I hold down the power button for 30 seconds

Are there any more steps I can take as there is some data on there I would like to get back?

I have removed the SSD to get this data but I am unsure of what usb adapter I would need to try to connect this to my other working computer. I think this is a Samsung model number s4ln062x01-y030.

I would appreciate any help

Thanks

Desai

IF it looks like a memory stick with connectors on one end, it's a m.2 SSD -- but it could be either SATA or NVMe.

If it has one notch, it's NVMe; two notches, it's SATA.

You need an m.2 SSD-to-USB adapter and the ones online will take either of the two forms of SSDs.
