HP ENVY - 13-aq0003na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My lovely Envy 13 has a broken hinge. This beautiful laptop has been pretty much sat on a desk at home since new, never dropped, mistreated or manhandled. And the lid has not been opened by the corners of the screen either. The right hand hinge has come away from whatever it's fastened to and if you try to open or close the lid, the case on the base splits apart (so we don't do it, obviously). The laptop still operates like new, so I don't want to spend on a whole new lap top if I can avoid it.

Can the site moderators connect me with the people I need to speak with to assess what a repair might look like please? It's out of warranty (sadly for me) and I am based in the UK.

@Sempai_Greg

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
I understand your HP notebook hinge is broken, in order to fix this issue your computer needs to be repaired.

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options. HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: https://www.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html

You can also find and visit the nearest HP service center to replace the hinge assembly under the manufacturer warranty.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
