Hi all,
I've got a new HP Envy 13 (sepcifically the HP Envy 13-ah0003na model) running Windows 10 Home (64 bit).
Short version: I want to disable tap-to-click on the touchpad, so that only a hard click on the touchpad registers as a click.
Longer version: I've tried following several of the guides here on the HP help forums, but in each case they suggest selecting a tab or option I don't have on my machine. The 'Taps' section within Windows 10 OS only appears to let me select the sensitivity of taps... not disable them.
My touchpad is specifically a Synaptics SMBus ClickPad. I can view it's properties and so on, but not select any options. I've got plenty of mouse options I can access through, but not touchpad options.
Any help would be tremndously apprecited! Thanks.

I feel rather meek in that I may have solvedmy own problem. After hours of tinkering, forum trawling and so on, I downloaded the official Synaptics TouchPad App (my Envy 13 rocks a Synaptics touchpad). Distinct from Windows 10 settings, it gave me much more control over my touchpad, including letting me turn off tap-to-click.
In case this helps anybody else, the app was by Synaptics Incorprated. Their similarly named Synpatics TouchPad Control Centre wouldn't download onto my Envy 13, despite my machine matching its settings.
