HP Envy 13-ad0xx; Use for the usb C port?

I have been searching for quite a while but still, haven't got any clue on this topic. Before I buy anything, I would like to know what do my ports (USB type C) support on the laptop? Is it for video output? Is it for charging the device?

What is the full model of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information.

Our laptop uses the USB type C ports for charging and connecting to a TV or monitor using an USB type C to HDMI adapter.

I just know it is one of the models from 2017.

@Ember8, you can open HP Support Assistant and find the model and product number at the bottom of the page.  Also, here is a guide to help you find it.

Thank you for the additional information, @Ember8.  This is exactly what I needed.

Here is the Maintenance and Service Guide for the computer.  In Chapter 2, Getting to know your computer, Page 5, Right side, is a description of how the USB type C port can be used.  Also, the guide has all of the other technical information about the computer.
