Hello,

Laptop battery drains if I turn off notebook and leave USBC Port of my notebook connected to an external monitor through a hdmi cable. It also happens if I leave it connected with a dock or hub. I’m talking about a drain of 30% overnight.

If I remove the cable, battery doesn‘t drain.

Laptop is trying to charge the peripheral connected, even though if it is just a hdmi cable or a dock.

Is there an option to fix battery drain when laptop is powered off?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for your response. BIOS is up-to-date. (Version Insyde F.07, 01-Aug-19)

What else can I try?

@AKM89,

It looks like a hardware issue and I recommend you contact support to check the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!
