Hi everyone
I`m trying to add a Samsung EVO 960 1TB (PCI-E) as a secondary drive to a free m.2 slot (there is a free one on the motherboard), but the drive isn`t recognised neither by Windows nor BIOS
More info about notebook:
MB: dag3fcmbec0 rev c
Model: 15-ep1013dx
Product: 4P7A2UAR#ABA
Steps i have done:
- Tried to add secondary ssd - it haven`t recognised in BIOS
- Looked for product specs - there are no specs for 11th gen or i haven't found it, only for a previous gen
- Looked a forum for same issues - there are a few mentions about the same problem, but nothing about the solution
- Updated drivers for drive controllers from either HP or Intel website
- Tried to update BIOS from HP website (F.14 Rev.A)
Please help - is it even possible to add a second 1TB PCI-E SSD drive to this model?
If no, please clarify:
- Can i use 2TB PCIE-E SSD as a primary drive?
- Is a M.2 slot - 4x4? or 3x4? Generally, can i use a pci-e 4.0 ssd with its full potential? (such as samsung evo 980 pro 2TB)
I would be very grateful for any help
P.s. Also, i have a previous model of this notebook (i5 10th, 1660ti) and have no issues with secondary ssd, so it's quite a surprise
