HP ENVY 16 inch Laptop PC 16-h0000 (534C8AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Recently bought this laptop and when I started using it. even on full charge, I realise that the battery doesn't last very long. When it runs down to 30% and I charge it while continuing to use my laptop, the battery continues to drop on most occassion or barely increased after at least an hour charge. It is almost impossible to play the game without constantly being plugged in.

Note that the time after 8am when the battery drained to the lowest, I started charging it and didn't unplug at all after that while comtinuing the game until 8pm. Does this indicate that this laptop battery cannot run on such games? Do I need to change my game graphic settings if I want to prolong the battery usage?

In these situations, I have been playing The Sims where I also noticed that the fan keeps running although it doesn't seem like the laptop is overheating. There is no obstruction to the fan airway as I had my laptop elevated to ensure that there is plenty of airflow.

My laptop is kept updated with the latest Windows software. I have ran diagnostics report via HP Support Assistant which shows that the battery with or without the charger on, is 'normal'.
