Hello,

I have had the HP ENVY 17 for , the problem is that it works when power cord is plug in, once power cord is removed, it dies. The battery doesnt charge and gives "Battery Plugged In Not Charging" messgae.  At times, when the power cord is plugged the battery shows 255%. I have tried all troubleshooting options but none is working. I bought a new battery but the problem still persists.

Pls help

@Geokay Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to charge the laptop.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please uninstall the ACPI drivers

Right-Click on start button> click device manager> Batteries>then select the s drivers and right-click on it and uninstall all battery drivers.

Then restart the computer and check again.
