I've posted here once before in relation to my HP Envy, the screen will not auto rotate, and no matter how I try to set the computer up with tablet mode, the screen will stay in Landscape unless I manually change it. Which is very frustrating and inconvenient, and not at all why I got this particular piece of hardware. It keeps regularly doing it. It is still under 12 months old and I am at my wits' end as to why the screen keeps locking, and the auto-rotate app button down the bottom right hand corner keeps vanishing. I've combed through every other article, and scoped almost every robot on the internet to no avail. Please help before I break the machine or send it back!

Hello @atonks,
A specific model/product number would be appreciated. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Forum)
Information on how to find a laptop's model/product number is detailed in this HP document.
I know it may be troublesome, but have you considered reinstalling the original OS using HP Recovery Manager?

Hi Eddy,
I have the model number/product number available, but I didn't think it was allowed to be posted to the forum? It is an HP Envy x360 15-bq002au.
I don't want to have to factory reset it as that is only a bandaid and does not answer why the auto-rotate will not work at all.

Hello @atonks,
When opening up Device Manager, are there are any entities with errors?
Also, I know this advisory pertains more to HP 3D Driveguard but it's an issue regarding the HP Accelerometer not working, which is supposed to relate to auto-rotate so I recommend trying out the update.
