- HP Envy 360 broken left hinge and screen separating

Like many others have experienced, the hinge on my HP Envy 360 broke last night. All I did was simply open it, but I heard a crack, and now the metal part is stuck at an angle to where I can no longer close my laptop or even open it to a full 90 degrees. If I do attempt to move the screen, the part that's stuck causes the screen to start to separate.
I have had my HP Envy x360 for 2 years with no issues. I always handled it with care, and I need this laptop for both work and school, but now I can't travel with it. I can't even use it without slouching down and without fear that it'll eventually stop functioning altogether. This is ridiculous for an expensive laptop that has been well taken care of - the fact that it hardly made it 2 years under normal use is insane and a failing of HP. They need to remedy this asap.
Has anybody had any luck with getting HP to address this [known] manufacturing issue?! Especially when already out of warranty?
