HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ee0003ca
Microsoft Windows 11

HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ee0003ca - the screen bezel in lower left corner (near the hinge) popped out. I can't close the lid anymore, as I am afraid that it will do further damage (there is a lot of tension in that area when closing/opening screen).

The unit was never dropped and well taken care of. I see that there are dozens of similar issues reported here. Please help. Thanks.

Hi @Melted13,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like the screen bezel on your HP ENVY x360 Laptop has come loose, and you are concerned about causing further damage if you try to close the lid. Here are a few steps you can try to address the issue.

  • First, make sure that the laptop is powered off and unplugged from the power source.
  • Gently try to push the bezel back into place. If it doesn't click into place, don't force it, as this could cause further damage.
  • If the bezel won't stay in place, you may need to remove it and reattach it. To do this, you can try gently prying it off with a plastic pry tool or a flat object like a credit card. Be careful not to damage the screen or other components.
  • Once the bezel is off, check for any damage or broken clips that may be causing the issue. If there are any damaged parts, you may need to replace them.
  • If everything looks fine, clean the area where the bezel attaches to the screen and the laptop body. Then, reattach the bezel and snap it back into place.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
