Hello everyone,
I have 13" HP ENVY Laptop - 13-ba0013no13" with product number 104J0EA.
I have previously read some posts about broken hinges and a screen that comes apart (in the bottom side) with a clicking sound when opening the lid. Now its my turn to have the same problem in my 13" Envy.
Therefore I wonder if there is a fix for this problem?
My Envy that is mainly used for smart home settings and sometimes reading fault codes from my BMW is hardly used. So the hinge and screen doesn't have many "lid openings" in the 2-3 years I have owned the Laptop.
Best regards,
Erik

I just called HP Support in Sweden, to see if there is an extended warranty, goodwill or repair to discount price, since this seems to be a desig flaw and a known issue. But no, there isn’t.
A new Envy today costs from 10.000 SEK (which equals 844 EUR | £ 733 | USD 914) and a hinge repair costs (ridiculessly) 3900 SEK (which equals 329 EUR | £ 286 | USD 357).
Therefore I need to fix it myself (if possible), or buy a new (non HP) Laptop,
