Common problems for Battery

The left hinge on the Envy Laptop is broken.  When closed, the screws connecting the keyboard to the screen can be seen.  I tried closing it, then the screen has chipped and cracked.  Is this a common occurrence?  I rarely use the laptop and did not drop or damage it.  When I googled it, I saw that this is a known defect.  Will HP fix this?  My warranty expired last month and the laptop is barely a year old.  I switched from Dell to HP because I was told the quality was better, but this seems like it shouldnt happen to a relatively new laptop

Unfortunately, you may be inadvertently handling your laptop in a way that you shouldn't.

It happens regardless of the manufacturer brand.

It would have been appropriate if you had taken a moment to identify your laptop besides calling it an Envy laptop.

Even if warranty coverage  did apply, broken hinges are considered to be a customer induced type of damage, regardless of the brand.

What to do if your laptop's hinge just broke.   (I do hope that this blog helps you.)
