Hi:

Below are the info and exe file links to the latest BIOS update I could find for your notebook (F.52):

Info link:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp98001-98500/sp98294.html

Exe link:

I followed this instructions to update my BIOS:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4129273-2331498-16

so after step 11: Click Restart Now to install the update.

my system directly boots into windows followed by login screen. I don’t see the HP BIOS Update screen. And the BIOS version is still F.35. Any idea what m I doing wrong?

Yes, I know what the problem is after the fact.

I used the free 7-Zip file utility and extracted the BIOS exe file into its folder.

The folder does not contain an update for your notebook's 80D9 SSID.

The file has the update for 80DA, 80D7, 80E9 and 80E6.

I'm going to have to look around and see if there are any older BIOS versions that have support for your motherboard's SSID.

If not, you'll just have to do without updating the BIOS and hope the memory upgrade works, which it probably will.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find any BIOS updates for the  HP Envy m6-ae1xx model series that have support for that specific system board ID.

Every one of them had the same ID's as the one I posted.

So can I assume that F.35 was the last update on my system?

That might be possible, but I wouldn't know for sure.

Upgraded RAM 16gb (2x8gb) on BIOS F.35 with no issues.

Thank you

You're very welcome.

That's great news.

I was pretty confident the memory upgrade would go well.
