@John1997
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post serial numbers and case details.
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, this post has instructions.

Hello Omar
This appears to be something of a recurring theme with the Envy laptops. I had been replacing the screws that were popping out of the chassis for some time on my Envy TS 15, unfortunately I only recently realised that the hinge was causing the chassis to crack open as it is broken and now I am outside my 2 years extended warranty. What are my options?
Regards
Robert

I cannot believe that this issues seem to be such a problem for this HP product. I just recently had the same problem happen to my notebook, and it is just so fitting that it is right outside the window of the warranty. Is there any way that i could receive assistance with resolving my problem.
Thank you,
Jesse

There are no options, some people have said there are if you are willing to jump thru hoops and spend an inordinate amount of time to get help. HP simply does not want to back up the product they produce. My suggestion is to throw it away and buy a different brand.

That's great advice if you can afford to do it.... I'll likely switch away from HP for all my future computer purchase... and since I run a small company, we buy 5 - 10 peices of computer equipment yearly. However... many can't afford a new computer, and hoop-jumping, while time consuming, is free.
To all those dealing with HP's horrific customer service on this issue.... keep up the good fight as long as you can... and if you give up, for certain, switch brands... Then post the a pic of your reciept for you new, non-hp computer, here!

It feels like deja vu all over again. Same story, purchased at Costco with warranty plan. Costco didn't cover this type of repair, however, the HP warranty still applied. HP replaced the whole system, only to have the hinge break internally (along with God knows what inside) again about 1 year later.
Horrible design, but I was warned about HP products before I purchased. Now I'm a believer. HP was once a great name, but now it its cheap over-priced crap.
I will attempt to repair this myself. For my next notebook however, I will look into the new Samsung 9, though.
