HP Envy X360 BP1xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I'm looking to upgrade my ram for my HP Envy X360 BP1xx. I saw a similar post but my specific question wasn't answered. After searching online I found many results stating the max ram my laptop would support is 16GB. I ran the cmd prompt wmic memphysical get maxcapacity  and see it says my max capacity is 32 GB. See below for details. Im just curious if I would ok with upgrading to 32GB. I have been doing a lot more video editing with premiere and need 32GB for 4k videos

Your machine actual is HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp111dx, I don't know why HP only gives its specs

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05803124

And Crucial confirms it supports 16GB max

What is your machine ? For example

             HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp112dx

Your machine should be very close and manual says it supports 16GB. Crucial also says that

I believe it supports 32GB (2 x 16GB) because my machine with same Gen 8 CPU supports 32GB of RAM

@Banhien this is a screen shot of my device info. I couldn't find any more number past the 15-m-bp1xx. I'm still confused on if my machine would be able to handle to 32GB upgrade. Also what should I be looking for if I decide to purchase 2 X16GB ram. I Want to make sure it will be compatible with my machine. Sorry fairly new to the computer world! if it helps I know I currently have DDR 4 and run on 64 bit OS. i thought it was 2400 but from what I found it shows 2666(1333MHZ). Hope that helps. Im trying to get my computer to be able to handle to footage im uploading without having to buy a new machine.
