I recently installed some software that required additional RAM (8 GB installed), so I selected the RAM 16 GB KIt that was approved by Crucial as OK to install. After watching a few videos, I jumped in and changed out the RAM and got a blank screen, and the three blinking lights on my Caps button on start up. I then reinstalled the old RAM and had the same issue, blank screen, no boot up, but can hear the fan energizing and wanting to start up. I disconnected the battery and tried the reboot sequence with just AC power with no luck. I have swapped the old ram and new ram multiple times and know its seated correctly, with only one way to install. I am now nervous knowing that I didnt dis-connect my battery first, did it damage something else? I am unable to reset my BIOS and dont get any type of screen, but I have power. Looking for ideas, I am technical and can perform some bench testing. Thanks
