My HP Envy x360 laptop's hinge broke, shattering the bottom corner of my screen and rendering it unclosable. Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve experienced this issue—the first failure occurred within the one-year warranty and was repaired by technicians. Now, a few years later, the hinge has failed again. Since the warranty is expired, I cannot claim the issue again and I haven't been able to reach anyone at HP support to discuss the issue. After the first warranty repair, I never used the laptop with its 360-degree function again, believing that to be the cause. But this time, the hinge failed even though I took extra care to open the laptop like a regular clamshell laptop. If anyone has any insight to help with the repair, please let me know!
