HP ENVY X360 m6-aq005dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a problem with my HP HP ENVY X360 m6-aq005dx when I desire to use it in TABLET MODE after updating to newer version of WINDOWS 10. The machine has become accustomed to only Landscape Mode when switched to TABLET MODE. It does not rotate to Portrait Mode when turned to that mode. Please HP should try and resolve this really. Thanks

@Magnifico-Gh

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand the screen isn't rotating in tablet mode,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Have you ensured the allow screen to auto-rotate is turned on?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:

Go to Control Panel> Display>Change Display Settings and then make sure that the "Allow the screen to auto-rotate" is selected.

If the issue persists and the auto-rotate doesn't work, you could change it manually:

To rotate the display, follow the steps below.

  1. Hold down the ctrl and alt keys at the same time and then press the up arrow key while you are still holding down the ctrl + alt keys.

  2. Click the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator icon in the system tray.

  3. Select Graphics Properties.

CLICK HERE FOR MORE STEPS AND INSTRUCTIONS.

(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)

If I have answered your queries, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" button for my efforts to help you.

Have a great day!
