Hi, I have an HP Envy X360 touchscreen laptop, that I love. It is a fantastic laptop and I desperately need it for school and for my business. I am now devastated, I went to close my laptop after working on it the other day and the hinge failed and pushed the screen away from its base, causing the screen to shatter and crack. This revealed that the internal hinges had come away. I contacted HP, which is not easy and the response was that nothing could be done as they don't make the product anymore. My laptop is only 4 and a half years old and does not endure daily use. I spoke about the legal guarantee of conformity of goods and was told that it didn't matter what was written, just that HP couldn't help. I am bewildered by this as I believed HP to be one of the best manufacturers of computers (Ihave always bought an HP) and this is obviously a manufacturing defect as the laptop itself was working as brilliantly as it did when I first received it. I am in the process of writing an official complaint and am seeking legal advice, as I don't believe that this is my position to self fund a repair or to purchase a new laptop. If anyone has any advice or support, please let me know. Many thanks.
