Hello.
A year ago, my laptop broke from the hinges; the right hinge had snapped and the screen was beginning to tear from the side and was fixed under warranty. I had noticed after the fixture was done that the right hinge seemed to be slightly bulging out but I thought this was normal because I trust HP's services and I expected that the issue has been resolved.
However, I have now experienced the same problem with this laptop again. While I was typing as usual, I heard a snap from the metal base and I was shocked to see that base became unstable and it started to come off. This has consequently resulted in both hinges becoming unstable and the right hinge yet again began to come out of place. Now, I can't open or close my laptop whatsoever without risking its full breakage so I'm not able to use it anymore. I am a very careful user and this is not my first convertible laptop, I'm used to using them. I greatly rely on the laptop and I really need it urgently for my studies.
I checked with PC World about this model and I was very disappointed to learn that many of their customers had similar problems with this particular model with the same faulty part. Also, I have checked the hp community website and was shocked by further revelations of many complaints about the same model which really proves that there is a manufacturing problem.
I would greatly appreciate HP support regarding this matter.
