HP Envy Laptop, I received in August 29, 2020, so the 1 year warranty expired.
Never dropped, I use it normally for personal home use. I open and close the laptop as I normally do, then after one year of normal use, I tried closing the laptop and the hinge pops the corner of the screen. This is a really big issue because it is literally going to crack the screen whenever I want to close the laptop. So now my laptop stays open always.
This is an issue that is clearly from the HP Envy series with an issue with the hinge. Without warranty HP won't fix my laptop with the fault which is at HP? Even cars sold have callbacks when they create faulty parts. Researched around, this is a very common problem for this Envy laptop. If I had known HP would use subpar crap parts, I wouldn't have purchased this laptop. Honestly a complete waste of money. Also this laptop presents more problems than just this known one which I have experienced. This HP envy series poses many issues and without a doubt the worst laptop I have ever used in my 20 years of using many various laptops. If you have the option to return this thing I advise you to save yourself a headache and get rid of this.
Called HP, speaking with customer support, they said they can't do anything without warranty. Does anyone have a fix for this horrendous issue?

I already contacted customer services and the out of warranty office, they said it will cost over 400$ to fix it.
This makes absolutely no sense. 400$ to fix an issue HP caused. Anyways, Over half the price of the laptop to fix it? HP clearly doesn’t want to fix it and wants their customers to run around with broken HP devices. This is great advertisement for all HP laptops with this subpar hinge.
I have been looking at the pop screen quite a bit and I realize that there is both metal and plastic at the popped section. Using cheap plastic and low quality screws broke this area.
