HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 13-bd0000 (172M8AV)

I've just encountered the same issue as several other people have on here, of the right hinge on my HP Envy 360 breaking (bought July 2022). I was sitting at a table, went to flip the laptop into tablet mode AS I HAVE DONE FOR 2 YEARS, and it happened. The extended warranty I bought from JB HiFi, which I've just learnt is actually held by a dodgy third party squaretrade, are refusing to even cover it because it counts as "physical damage". Despite the fact this issue is a known manufacturer fault. Has anyone been able to get this issue fixed before, or found another way to not lose the laptop altogether? This is utterly devastating and frustrating; I am a university student, this is all I have to work on. I do not have the funds to just replace it. Thanks in advance.
